  • Microsoft Excel: Pivot Tables

PivotTables are a useful function on Excel which allow you to take a large dataset and transform it into an easy-to-read table. They can be used to separate data into timescales such as years or months, to compare data categories, and to produce charts showing the information from your data. PivotTables are easy to refresh as you edit your data, so they can be extremely useful for data that is often changing or updating, and are quick to produce, so you can swiftly conduct an analysis of your data.
